SolarSuperState Ranking 2017 category SOLAR topten
14.8.2017: Japan and Australia move up in the Solar topten list of SolarSuperState Ranking 2017 category Solar. Japan overtakes Italy (4), Belgium (5) and Vatican City State (6) and is now on rank 3. Frontrunner Liechtenstein widens gap to second Germany. European Union states, Vatican City State and San Marino (7) continue to stay in waiting positions in photovoltaics. Australia (rank 9) outdistances Greece (rank 10). A constant photovoltaic deployment speed of the calendar year 2016 (+39 Watt per capita per year net annual additions) would enable Australia to pass some inactive European states in the SolarSuperState Ranking of next year. Sweden wins SolarSuperState Prize 2017 in category Wind

The SolarSuperState Prize 2017 will be split into 2 locations:
On Wednesday, 10 May 2017, at 15 hours in Hotel Gekas Ullared.
On Friday, 20 October 2017, at 10 hours inside the International Energy and Sustainability Conference 2017 in Farmingdale College (a New York State University). For the conference website link visit our press section.
In both locations, you have to pay the regular conference entrance fee in order to attend the SolarSuperState Prize as visitor.

Annual Report 2015 SolarSuperState Association
On 24 November 2016, the SolarSuperState Association published its Annual Report 2015 with a 5 year forecast of its president for cumulative global capacities of photovoltaics and wind power (see page 4 of the Annual Report 2015, download in press section)
June 30 SolarSuperState Prize 2016 Koeln
On 30 June, the SolarSuperState Association awarded the 1. SolarSuperState Prizes 2016 in the categories Wind and Solar to the Kingdom of Denmark and to Liechtenstein. The same day the association published the top ten of the SolarSuperState Ranking 2016 in both categories Wind and Solar. Press releases, tables and images can be downloaded in the press section.
3 meter sea level rise and the response
3 meter sea level rise from West Antarctica has been proven to happen in the future. Holland, Florida, Alexandria, Bangla Desh are threatened. The response of the SolarSuperState Association is a 5 point policy plan to be implemented unilaterally by states as soon as possible including 100 % renewable energies, manure to biogas, organic farming, biocoal for economy and soils, afforestation.

British Hinkley Point C nuclear electricity feed-in tariff
Zurich, 29.12.2015: SolarSuperState Association supports Greenpeace Energy and 9 other organizations that filed a plea at the Court of Justice of the European Union against the decision of the European Commission approving the British feed-in tariff for nuclear electricity (Hinkley Point C).
